Cordless Phone Answering Machine Caller Id
How do I fix my cordless phone?The answering machine works, but the phone receiver does not charge ?
the caller id doesn’t work and I cannot make calls, I’ve had this problem for two phones
how do i fix this? without buying a new phone?
it’s a uniden 900
Every cordless phone has a battery that charges up when you put it in the charging cradle.
After around 500 times (aka days) the batteries break down and would not charge anymore.
I think the uniden has a cheaper 3 cell type of rechargeable batteries. The more expensive phones have the lithium types which lasts longer.
Try letting it die down completely . remove all power supplyfor around 2-3 days. turn it on , leave it on until the lights shut off from lack of power.
Unplug this battery pack and reinsert.
Charge again for 24 hrs.. It may work again or not. If not,you can but another battery or throw the entire phone out.
