Sennheiser Rs 130 Wireless Headphones
can u use receivers on wireless headphones?
I have a Sennheiser RS 130 Wireless Surround Sound Headphone. The surround sound feature is not that great, but okay. Will receivers with 7.1 surround sound (or whichever) work on these headphones? If so, what you recommend?
You would want a home theater receiver that has stereo RCA output, and/or 1/8″ or 1/4″ headphone sockets. Most of them should, except for some entry level HTIBs (“home theater in a box”). No matter what type of audio the receiver is getting (digital surround, analog stereo), it will down-mix the audio to stereo for the RCA or headphone output.
You would connect the stereo audio output of the receiver to the wireless headphone base. It will still only be stereo sound in the headphones, those headphones don’t support true 5.1 surround (there are only two speakers and digital audio input is not supported).
