I now have an HD TV and want to add Direct TV HD service. Even though I have been a Direct TV subscriber for over 3 years, they want to charge me $99 for the HD receiver and installation, plus sign a 2 year contract. My question is this. . . Is it possible to cancel my service and then have my wife sign up for new service so that we can get the new subscriber deal?
